A hybrid meeting is one where part of the audience is in the room and part joins online, and both groups take part in the same conversation. It only works when the remote participants can see who is speaking, hear them as clearly as the room does, and read the slides — which is what a camera and audio setup delivers into the meeting platform. Without it, remote attendees watch a distant wide shot and drop off within minutes.

Zoom's built-in recording captures whatever the platform received, compressed for streaming: a webcam-grade picture, platform audio, and a layout you cannot control. A production recording captures the cameras and microphones directly, at full quality, before compression — so the file you keep is broadcast quality regardless of how good the connection was on the day. We usually deliver both, because the Zoom recording is a useful backup.

Two is the standard setup: a wide shot of the stage or table, and a closer shot on the speaker. That gives the edit something to cut to, keeps the remote audience engaged, and covers you if one camera is blocked. For panels, large stages, or anything with an audience Q&A we add a third and fourth camera with operators.

It is a live vision mixer. Every camera, along with the presentation laptop, plugs into it, and it cuts between those sources in real time so what leaves the box is one finished programme — already switched, already mixed. That single programme feed goes into Zoom as a camera, gets recorded locally, and streams out, all at once. It is the reason the output looks directed rather than like a webcam pointed at a room.

Yes, and this is where our two services meet. We take the interpreters' output from the interpretation system as separate audio channels, so the recording carries the floor language and every interpreted language as its own track. You end up with one video per language rather than one video with the interpretation missing — which matters when the recording is the record.

The raw programme file is handed over on the day, on site, so you leave with the recording in your hands. Edited deliverables follow on an agreed schedule — typically within a week for a straightforward edit. If you need a clip out the same evening for social media, tell us in advance and we will cut it on site.

Colour correction, audio cleanup and levelling, titles and lower-thirds for speakers, your intro and outro, removal of the dead time around breaks, and cutting the day into per-session or per-speaker videos. We work from your brand guidelines where you have them, and agree the structure before the event so the edit is not a negotiation afterwards.

For a two-camera setup we arrive around three hours before the start; larger productions need half a day or the evening before. That time covers cabling, camera positions, lighting checks, audio levels, and a full rehearsal of the meeting platform connection — the connection is tested with a real call, not assumed.

Power near the camera positions, a wired internet connection for anything going live, and access to the room's sound system so we can take the microphone audio directly. We bring our own cabling, and we carry a mobile connection as a backup for the stream. If the venue is new to us, a site visit beforehand removes most of the surprises.

Never from the camera. We take a direct feed from the room's sound system, so what is recorded is the same signal the microphones produced, and we add our own wireless lapel microphone for the main speaker as a safety track. On a hybrid meeting the remote participants' audio is mixed in as well, so the recording carries both sides of the conversation.

Pricing depends on the number of cameras, the size of the crew, the length of the programme, whether the meeting is streamed, and how much editing follows. Recording days are quoted as a day rate, with post-production quoted separately so you can decide on it after seeing the material.
